The speaker is Arlene Knickerbocker, who has two books plus hundreds of articles, marketing materials, teaching materials, devotions, poetry, and columns published in various venues. There will be dramatic readings of poetry written by Arlene Knickerbocker, Katie Knickerbocker, William Phenn, and Seth Morris accompanied by music. The music is being provided by the Knickerbocker Family played on the gourd piano, violin, and recorder. MAY 8 & 15 Free Verse Poetry What is free verse poetry and how does it differ from prose and other poetry? Published poet, Arlene Knickerbocker, will help us ponder these questions and more. Want to design poems that convey a message in colorful, memorable language? We’ll explore types of poetry, image design, metrical design, and language design. At the second session, we’ll read and analyze our poems. You should come away with one polished poem and the knowledge needed to write more.
